Tournament of Champions
The Tournament of Champions is the signature contest offered by The Trivia Factory. Every team is competing to be in the top 25 in points during a three month period, vying nightly to place in the top three at one of the weekly trivia contests. These 25 teams are invited to participate in the Tournament of Champions, and the winner of this tournament takes home the $1000 cash prize and bragging rights of being the best trivia team for that quarter.
First place at each nightly trivia game receives 100 points toward the Tournament of Champions with second place receiving 50 points and third place receiving 25 points.

1. How much does it cost to participate in the Tournament of Champions?
A: Free, Free, Free! The Trivia Factory allocates $1000 every three months for the teams that make it into the tournament.
2. How do I get into the Tournament of Champions?
A: Every time The Trivia Factory holds a nightly trivia tournament, the top three teams that finish that game are added to the total tally of scores.
3. How many points do I receive for finishing in the top 3 at a trivia night?
A: 1st Place - 100 points, 2nd place - 50 points, 3rd place - 25 points
4. What games are eligible for counting toward the Tournament of Champions?
A: All trivia games that The Trivia Factory host are counted. (Adult Trivia, Entertainment Trivia, Movies, Cartoon, and General Knowledge)
5. What is the format for the Tournament of Champions?
A: The Tournament of Champions is ran just like all other trivia nights. 20 Questions and a bonus.
6. How many people can we have at the Tournament of Champions?
A: Because of space and available chairs at the venues, we limit the teams to 8 adults total. Children under the age of 15 don’t count against your total. That limit is only for the Tournament of Champions. At regular nightly trivia games, there is no limit.
7. Where is the Tournament of Champions held each time?
A: The Tournament of Champions is hosted at different areas around Atlanta. Recently, we have hosted the tournament at the Irish Bred Pub in Hapeville because of it location to everyone and the size.
8. Is the $1000 divided up across the top few teams or is it winner take all?
A: The winning team takes all the money!
9. Are there any other awards handed out at the Tournament of Champions?
A: The team that accumulated the most points during the 3 months is given a trophy. The “Music Master” trophy is given to the team that can ID the most music artist that are played during the Tournament of Champions. A trophy is given to the team with the lowest score. And finally, a trophy is given to each team that finishes in the top 3 for the Tournament of Champions.
10. When does the 3 month period begin each time?
A: January 1st - March 31st, April 1st - June 30th, July 1st - September 30th, October 1st - December 31st
